Default bad fuel pump?

Well my fuel pump has been pretty loud so I decided to go ahead and buy a SVT focus one. Well I dropped the tank an pulled the old one out only to realize that the connector wasnt the same.So I put everything back, but now on top of it the pump being loud, the car bog's pretty bad about 80% of the time when I give it gas. Do you think when I pulled it out that I just made the whole thing worse? It nevr bogd before bt since I went to change it out it has been. Like I said it was loud to begin with and now its loud and the car runs like poop when I step on the pedal.Any ideas? Thanks, John

By the way if anyone wants to buy that SVTfocus pump they can for what I bought it for which was $75

hooked a fuel pressure gauge up to it and it said 43 at an idle and stayed there when I gave it gas. When I discount the battery for about an hour it will run good for about 30 to 45 minutes and then starts doing it again.any ideas?

you can change the connector style... some fuel pumps come with a new connector for them so you can just cut and splice the old ones... if you want i can ship you my old connect that i no longer need from my fuel pump since i no longer have the returnless system with the pump in the tank.
