1996 Mustang GT Fog Light Harness
I just purchased and installed a set of JDM Black Halo Projection Headlights. The headlights have a low beam, a high beam, turn signal and an extra light which can be used as a daily running light or a fog light. There are three red wires and one black coming out of the extra lens on the back side of the headlight assembly. I was hoping to hook the extra light into my foglight harness so I can use it as a daytime running light. On my stang there is a fog light plug which is just behind the lower bumper with a tan and black wire runnning to the plug. My question is how do I wire it up? I tried using one red, one black to tan and black (respectively on the plug), but it didn't work. I may not have power to the fog light harness, but I wanted to make sure I was wiring it up correctly before I proceed.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jag

RE: 1996 Mustang GT Fog Light Harness
I have been reading that it looks like these three wires need to go to the parking break as the illuminte the halo, extra lens and three vertical lights in the headlight assembly. Is ther any easy way to splice it into the parking light without having to remove the headlight assembly. It was a bear to get in and I would hate to have to go through that again. Do have I have to splice all three red wires together and splice them into the parking light power source. Sorry about all the questions, but I am NOT and electrician.
