Default Question

Is there supposed to be a fly wheel cover on the t-45 tranny. My fly wheel is exposed and I am worried about water and rocks going up in my tranny. The motor is not original to my car and the owner before me put a lot of things on wrong so I am fixing all these tiny issues.

P.S. I got to drive the 2008 Bullitt. One word describes it Awesome!!!

Yes EVERY manual transmission for RWD vehicles needs a cover plate for the exact reason you stated. I would definately be worried about getting water up in there on your clutch disc!!! Water brings dirt and grime and lets debris stick to any surface. You should be able to remove the starter and bolt a plate right up without pulling the tranny. There are just a few bolts that hold i in place! I just can't remember if it outlines the whole tranny or not??? Even so you could cut it and come up with something that will work well.

Are you telling us that you don't have that housing around the flywheel and clutch?
