door wiring harness removal

Default door wiring harness removal

I've got a 96 GT and I'm replacing the drivers door. How do I get the wiring harnesspulled through the hole on the door? Theelectric window/door lock switch assemblyis bigger than the hole!Do I cut the wires leading to the window switches and then resplice?

there should be a plug on the side going into the car and that will fit through the hole im sure.

Ended up having to waller (southern for: make bigger) out the hole with a round file to get switch mechanism to pass through.There wasn't a plug in sight!

UPDATE While at the junk yard, I learned that the window/locking keypad assembly splits apart. Itried that when I started, but it looked like I was breaking the soldered joints. Live and learn.
