Ticking after cams

I just installed some stage2 compcams. I also put in the recommended beehive springs and retainers. Now the car makes a ticking sound, that increases with the rpms. It almost sounds like a lifter. I pulled the valve cover off, and everything checked out. Is this not normal, or will I have to get used to it?

I thought it ticked for like 2 minutes on the first start up or something like that and you had to hold it at 2k rpms until it went away.

Could just be a lifter that needs to pump up. Hopefully not a base circle issues.
