Will i leak if i change my MANUAL trans fluid?

Will i leak if i change my MANUAL trans fluid?
I discovered a very small leak, coming from the rear transmission seal. (on the driveshaft side) theATF in the manual transmission, has aboutabout...82k miles old in it and i would like to change it out. Would the leak get worse if i changed the transmission fluid? I've heard of this happening on automatics.
Also, what brand fluid should i use? I changed the diffrential fluid to 75w90 Redline gear oil and i'm nor really sure what to use for the transmission, i have a 00 GT, so that would make the trans. a T3650, right? so what would i use?

Changing out the fluid won't make a differance in the leak. You're going to have to replace the seal, though. It's a transmission output seal. '00 GT's come with the T45 trans, and Ford auto trans fluid is what you need.

The leak isn't big enough (yet) to warrant changing it out, but dropping the transmission looks like a half hour job on this car so I'll do it if it becomes an issue (hoping not)
but my main concern was causing a leak by changing the fluid out, thanks for the quick answer

it takeslonger than a half hour to drop the transmission..

Ohh, OKThanks people.
Does anyone have any suggestions for the transmission fluid? I was thinking either redline ATF D4 or just buying motorcraft from the dealer.
