ive beat a c5 z06 before with it.

ive pushed it before with it around 30-35 out and it actually ran alot better from the colder air. raced a bike with it up to 6500 rpms before at over 130 on a cold night as well. those stock shortblocks are decently durable from what ive seen. or atleast mine was, still is in perfect shape.

i tuned about 50 cars with LMAF's this summer.. on a draw through application with a centrifical supercharger, most would peg around 430-450rwhp..
What about blow through?

why not just get your own tuner to tune the BA2400?
ORIGINAL: tbirdscwd

I'm thinking about selling my BA2400 and getting a 90mm lightning MAF thats Calibrated for my 42 pounders. I know the BA is a better maf, but there is only one shop even remotely close that knows how to tune it. And they charge 450 minimum to tune it. Thats a lot to shell out every time I change something and want to tune it. So how much above 400rwhp can I go witha lightning MAF?
Also that doesn't take into account the fact I would have to switch to an SCT because they don't use Diablo there. Just thinking of all my possibilities.
isn't a BA2400 SCT product? i know my livewire tuner was able to tuner those MAF's atleast

Yes it is an SCT BA2400, but tuning it is gonna cost at the minimum $800. I'm just seing if a lightning MAF will support my desired power level cause its gonna be substatially cheaper to use one.

well my point is, you can get a tuner and be able to tune the MAF, and you'll be able to tune other things too then. my mustang shop charges like $400 for a tune, or $100 to reflash something with the persons own tuner

Not being a dick, but did you read my post? There is only one shop in my area that knows how to tune that MAF. And it will cost me over 800 bucks for them to do it. You can't just buy a heandheld and adjust MAF transfer rates. The BA isn't a regular MAF that is just calibrated for injectors, if it was, then I wouldn't be having this issue.

The lightning Mafs if calibrated correctly by someone who knows what they are doing will support anything you will throw at it on you stock block. Im about to use one for my 331 stroker on boost and will be at around 550RWHP. This comes straight from a Ford Engineers mouth.

Have you ever pushed you car really hard on a cold night? doughboy4.6 blew his up at 428 on a 50* night racing a C5 zo6. It destroyed the block.
