Default Is this a fair quote?

I am about to install Richmond 3:73 gears on my 03 Gt in a about a week. I was given a quote of $200.00. Is that an accurate quote?

I thought so also. Will it really wake up my 03 GT?

Hey man, I just paid $300 for my install. I'm in California, but wherever you are, $200 is a good deal. I'd be wary tho - do you KNOW the installer is good at this? You have got to get the gear install right or you can get weird noises/humming etc. Is your GT a manual? My GT is a manual and I was mulling over 3.73s and 4.10s. I'm glad I went with the 4.10s. Holy crap is this thing fast now!

It's a manual. I am also worried about the noise. If I don't like the way it is done they will fix it, I promise you that!

You will notice it, but 4.10's will be much more noticeable. I loved mine in my old GT.

I really wanted to go to 4:10's but I will be doing alot of hwy driving being that I am in the military. I am really on a budget so every month (under my wifes nose) I buy some kind of mod. Every post that I have read has recommended gears. Once I put the gears in I will also be getting a Brespeed SCT tuner. Those guys are the best! My goal is to run mid to high 13's.

The RPM difference between 3.73 and 4.10 is pretty minimal. It is only a few hundred RPM. Just go like 5 mph slower on the highway and it shouldn't be a problem. The MPG won't be too bad.
