Default K-Member install questions

Id like to install a K member on my 98 GT, but I was wondering if you had to pull the motor to install it. Would jacking the motor up be enough to get it in place?

Yes, just use a floor jack and a piece of wood and jack up on the crank pulley/dampener, I actually just did this myself yesterday, I installed a UPR K member, A arms and coil over kit on my 98 GT. Next step is alignment...

I am about to install a complete Qa1 suspension on my stang within the next two weeks. I heard the k-member is super easy to install too.

Blown98SN95- Were the coilovers easy to install?

this message is to bhesler, I installed the same kit on my 01 gt as you did on your car. I'm hearing a popping noise in the front end now. It sounds like its coming from both sides. I tightened the hell out of the sway bar studs. Do you have any ideas on what I did wrong?

check and see if you completely tightened the bolt holdingthe ABS sensors on both front brakes. I know for sure that if u dont tighten them all the way then u will hear a ticking noise.

I figured out what the problem was in late April, shortly after I posted this thread. It was my rack and pinion which only had about 10,000 miles on it. Ford replaced the first rack and pinion after I got in a wreck, at about 65,000 miles and I had a car shop that supposedly specializes in Mustangs replace that replacement. I had it replaced and now 8000 miles later its starting to pop again. I'm starting to think that the UPR k-member was not worth my investment.

I used a come-along mounted to the rafters and ran it Under the alternator. Worked like a charm.
