Hey i was wondering what do youll think of napa gold oil filters they are made by wix and what oil do you think i should run in my97 gtstang its got 157000 miles on it

i dont have a problem with them. ive run them in my jeep for 200k, no issues. their oil has been just fine too. i have used either the napa or a pure one in the car most of the time

I have run aNAPA oil filterin my Ranger and it has 264k, so there you have it!

the napa gold filters are just fine, you don't have to spend big bucks on an oil filter, just make sure you change you oil and filter regularly and you shouldn't have a problem. same thing with motor oil... sure synthetics and synthetic blends may reduce friction somewhat over conventional oils, but unless you're putting your engine under a lot of stress (racing all the time, etc) then any conventional oil will do the job. my dad owns a service shop and we've seen plenty cars run just regular Shell 10w30 and go over 200k (one guy had a Jeep go over 400k) with no problems as long as it's changed at the right intervals.
