Default T-45 Tranny

Do all T-45 tranny's shift like truck. My 01 is not real smooth and I even changed to synthetic

It does have a Fidanza short throw. Probably not the best.

Buy an MGW shifter and give it a couple months to break in. It is a HUGE improvement over the stock shift action.

I've got 100,000 miles on myoriginalT-45 with a Steeda Triax shifter and a Centerforce dual friction clutch and it still shifts like a hot knife through butter.

My stock shifter was super smooth but I went with a B&M sport shift for less arm movement...lol. After I changed the shifter and put in Synthetic fluid and it wanted to grind in 2nd if I shifted fast. I changed the synthetic out and went conventional and no grinding? You might have the same problem. I don't think the T45's like synthetic for some reason!
