Default Exhaust question

Hey guys I tried running a search but didn't find what I was looking for.

I want to go louder with my exhaust. The tone is perfect right now but I feel like if I could just turn up the volume a little bit it would really be what I want.

I've got an off-road H going into Borla mufflers (not stingers). I'm thinking about unbolting the mufflers and running straight pipe, but I want to know before hand if it's going to sound like ****.

Anybody know how my little 2V will sound without mufflers? Also, if it doesn't sound like ****, how loud are we talking? I set off car alarms as it is, but I'm still quiet enough at idle that I can be respectful of my neighborhood. Is there another muffler I can bolt in without buying the whole catback that would be closer to what I'm looking for?

Wow, guess I don't have to worry about the tone of the exhaust without mufflers.

But if thats catted, I feel like I'd be way too loud.

Any idea if magnapacks would bolt into the catback I have? I've got very basic fabrication skills and I'm not very concerned about exhaust leaks.

You just want it a little louder? Have you tried removing the exhaust piping right after the muffler? That should make it a bit louder. Maybe try dumping it?

Try the Stingers?

Straight pipes is so... hillbilly-ish. Might as well go with SLP Loudmouth 1's for a brand name straight pipe lol

i dont see what all the hype about magnaflow is, i dont like how they sound at all, id go with slp lm1. i wouldnt remove the mufflers. thats just my opinion though. borla stingers are great especially with an o/r midpipe.
