You could buy my Comp Cams Stage IIs, but you will need new valve springs.

i think Comp Cams recommends replacing valve springs with any of their cams, but there probably won't be a huge difference between the power you get out of the XE262H compared to the XE265H cams ("stage 1" and "stage 2"). the 265 will probably open up some more on the top end, but with stock internals i wouldn't really feel comfortable revving up that high. the 262 will probably work in a better RPM range and go well with your current mods. if you plan on doing any kind of head work (now orin the future), go with the 265's cause that will REALLY open things up.

265s are the stage II for the NPI mustangs. Stage IIs for 99-04 are 270s and yes Comp does recommend replacing the springs. I personally would never go through the trouble of replacing cams on these motors and only going for stage Is.
