Default Exhaust

Just had a couple of questions...

I hate to do exhaust becuase it is just annoying... but I have an 03' GT and I want to do a mod to it after having it for about 2 days. I got some free time on a lift and accsess to air tools so I figured I better take advantage of it asap.

My first question would be... should I run an X Pipe or H Pipe? I have looked at some dyno sheets and realized that the X pipe is only worth about 1 hp until 7,000 rpms and then it jumps to like 6. I also want to save as much money as possible so stick to the H pipe or does anyone out there suggest X pipe?

Next since this is my daily driver should and I don't want it to be to loud but loud enough that it isn't a gay stock mustang. Should I run just an H pipe with my stock mufflers? Or should I just go ahead and upgrade while I have time on a lift?

And last what should I go with? I have an 87' GT with flowmaster delta's and I am kinda burnt on the whole flowmaster. My buddy has a 00' with a mac H pipe and mufflers and it sounds pretty good. I just want to keep the cost down as much as possible. Should I go with mac all the way or ???

Just a little help so I can get the ball rolling... once it is rolling it doesn't stop...

I'm bored of my flowmasters to, go with any X pipe and magnaflow cat back. You'll be very pleased. and just for the record as you pointed out, the HP diff between the X and H pipe are so minimal buy which ever sound you prefer

Ok cool.

Also if you guys know any prices or places to check prices (best prices) please let me know.

I am also looking for the mach I grill delete, within the first hour of owning the car I had a screwdriver and pliers taking out the gay honeycomb bull that comes stock.

Also maybe a mach I chin spoiler. Not trying to turn the car into a mach I just alittle style becuase all the GT's around here don't have them. So for all you GT guys who have bought one or the other post site on where I have seen mixed prices.

your best bet is the check out ebay first, you can find a lot of good deals. if you dont have any luck there, try some of our vendors sites, for the X pipe you'll be lookin at about 180 bucks, and about 350 for the magnaflows.

Steeda has a pretty neet grill delete that they claim is better than their competitors. Why, I don't know?! Seen it on a buddy's car and it looks fine. I want one. They also have a Mach I chin spoiler which is $50 cheaper than you would get from the dealer, might get that soon too because I really like the look. Wich I had the dough to just buy the Mach 1.

i installed the flowmaster american thunder last week in the driveway. it took just about an hour. just like they said. i was surprised how easy it was. but there not nearly as loud as flowmaster claims. if you want to be heard go with loud mouth 2. i hear there more mellow than the 1's.

It is my daily driver and there is no drone what so ever with Magnaflows. I used to have flowmasters and it was horrible. Thats why I switched.
