Default Coolant light playing games with me

So on a 1996 gt my coolant light is coming on and going off all the time, can you say annoying. It also has triggered my check engine light. Only thing is that there are two sensors, one on the bank one side and one on the bank two side of the intake manifold... I think the one on bank one goes to the gauge, and the other would be the faulty one...but I am not 100%. Can anyone confirm or deny this.

If you are at the front of the car the sensor on the left goes to the gauge and the one on the right goes to the computer to let the fan know when its time to come on. If it is a low coolant light I think there is a sensor at the bottom of the coolant reservoir that could also be the problem.

It'sthe coolant temp sensor which (i think) is located behind the thermostat housing on your intake.

Yes, the coolant tank is full, lol. Ok, so I am begining to think that these two lights might be unrelated and possibly be a sign of a coolant temp sens. the bank two side and the coolant level sensor. Is that sensor replaceable or does it mean the entire new coolant tank?

I would make sure your connection at the reservoir is good. Clean the contacts really good. I had a problem with the sensor in my onemy cars a while back. Coolant level was good, but the sensor was shot.

Yeah the connection is good, but is the sensor repalceable alone or do I need a new tank.
