If your motor is in good shape a Procharger Stage II with the three-stage intercooler can go up to 12# of boost on your car with an estimated 80% horsepower gain. Reference the link below:

The NPI car's do not respond as well as our PI stuff.

I will not be getting longtubes. If i port my stock heads, is that pretty much the same as getting PI heads? Also, if i go with an aftermarket cam instead of PI cams, what would be a good cam for me?

depending on the port/polish job, you can probably get those NPI heads to flow close to the same as the PI ones. i'm sending you a PM with some info i found on flow tests that compared the PI to NPI heads. just a heads up though... a guy just posted in the general 4.6 forum and has a set of ported PI heads for sale, so you might check those out. if you wanted to go with aftermarket cams, you can find some labeled "blower cams", they are designed specifically for boost applications. problem is, with ported heads and blower cams, you may exceed a safe power level for your stock bottom end. if you wanted to go with some stage 1 n/a cams though, you'd probablyget more power than stock PI cams for sure, but just not as huge of a jump as blower cams. it might actually be the safer route if you don't want to replace your rotating assembly. some CMS stage 1 cams, Comp Cams XE262H, or some MPH cams might be good options.
