hey im thinking on buying 4.6 engine on the side with low miles, and bolt on the stage III headsthat already come assembled, also the new intake manifold made by trickflow, my question is if i will face any problems runing these heads on a stock engine block... thanks any help will be apreciated also will this set up b smog legal in CA ?

nope those heads will be great acually...will react a lot better to bolt ons

yes you will have probelms. If they are patriot heads you need to be bored at least .020" over

i thought i had heard that before but i wasnt really sure, but how bout a stage II heads, will i still b able to pass smog checks in CA ?

Any "stage" head that uses the larger 1.84" intake valve will give you problems on a STD bore. Most Stage 2's only use STD or +1mm intake vales so those will be fine.
