Sorry to say it but if you have to ask others what to do, and how to do it, you'll never be able to do this swap on yal's own. And if you say you'll just take it to a shop, for the price they'll charge you, you could just buy a gt after selling the 6. Bottom line: not worth the money or time.

Definitely not worth it. Just buy the GT/Cobra. Or he could try to find another person who is selling their V6 to V8 conversionthat they already completed the swap on. I have been seing a few people who are selling their V8 powered 6's.

you can buy gt's too cheap just get a older 4.6 and call it good, i bought mine for 6,500 1996 with 42,xxx miles 5 speed, thing is mint and nice mac header to tailpipe exhaust, cant beat that, itll cost you about 3k for a swap, 1k-1,500 for motor alone, if you do a swap you dont wana put a stock motor in, youd want to build it up and make it a power house so that will be about 1k there, and then to convert it you need all new suspension and motor mounts, figure 1k there, if you wanna do it right. moral of the story, dont waste the time, buy a gt/cobra

What kind of a powerhouse V8 are you going to be able to build for 1k?

You would also need a new tranny for the V8 as well.

You are going to need the engine, harness, tranny, rear end and a lot of little things. Just buy a GT. All of the money spent in the swap will be lost because it still isn't a GT and people would rather just buy a GT.
