Install a Timken TOB. Its inner housing is some kind of kevlar. It will not squeak. Go here for purchase:

anyone know the easiest way to remove the top belhousing bolts? im doing a clutch on a friends 01 cobra tomorrow so i will need to remove these. last time i did it i did it from the top with no intake manifold.
I had the k member out, and trans cross member out, with the engine resting on the oil supported by a jack, and the trans supported by a trans jack. The car is sitting on jackstands, so these are floor jacks. I pushed everything foward about an inch, and lifted the motor and trans about 2 inches and then I could get the top bellhousing bolts from up top. OR you could lift the motor up a few inches and lower the trans a few inches and get em from bottom. This was A LONG TIME ago, so I cant remember if there was anything else.

yes, I got so far as to almost getting the trans out and ran out of time, I would have finished if I had another 4 or so hours(Long story). You can do it, just plan to spend about at least 12ish hours if you know what your doing.

BTW, when they replaced my TOB, they gave me the old one back and MAN WAS THAT THING WARPED! It looked like it was almost bent!

I too had the pilot bearing replaced while they were in there.

about how much did that run you. I don't think I have the time to do it myself, but I have the same problem
Cost $300 for the install (but my dealer paid the mustang shop, I didn't) The TOB came with my cobra clutch, and the pilot bearing was $15.
