So it just started yesterday. When I am driving, i will me cruising along and suddenly the rpms will surge from 1300ish to close to 3000 for about 3 secoinds then drop back down.... any ideas? It is a 96GT Auto with about 46000 miles. THANKS!!!

Sounds like your over drive turned off for a second, were you giving it any gas? does it happen often or was it a 1 time thing?

just holdin steady at like 40mph, revs to 3000. keeps happening, about every few minutes.
