question on TPS and IAC
hey guys, im bout to replace my TPS and IAC wit new OEM ones. wanted to kno is this an easy thing to swap? and would my idle go back to normal as well? i have an 03 gt auto, and my idle goes up and down. it does this like every few seconds, it dips from 400 rpms and then back up to around 700 or 800 rpms. and itONLY does this when im at a redlight or a standstill wit my foot on the brake and the gear in drive. and also once i do this swap do i have to reset anything? thanx

RE: question on TPS and IAC
Yes when you clean your IAC make sure its dry when you replace it. I suggest buying a throttle body cleaner and also cleaning your MAF which they also make a specific cleaner for. Make sure you remove the terminals from your battery and let the computer reset itself when done cleaning.

thanx guys. so if the carb cleaner don't work on the IAC, is replacing it wit a new OEM one simple? anything i should look out for? and once replaced about how long do i leave the battery disconnected for?

RE: question on TPS and IAC
alright guys, so im gonna go and replace these. now after i do this, what if my car still idles the way it does? what else could cause this? today i thought my car was gonna shut off on me. and now when im at a light, i don't even hear or feel my car is idling. it's too quiet and i have an o/r x wit slp lm 1's. i want my car idling normal again.
