28 spline forged axles enough?

I'm running about 415rwhp now, and am thinking about hooking up my rear end to handle a little more power. Right now I'm running 295 street tires for fear of grenading my stock rear equipped with 4.10s. What do you guys recommend I do to make sure I don't explode my rear when I start launching this thing on DRs? I was looking at getting a set of Moser 28 spline forged steel axles but don't know if that would be enough.

If you are gonig to bother doing it at all, do it right. Get a 31 spline carrier and axles and that should be good. Or you could always loolk around for something stronger.

Thanks sinister, I eventually want to go, 31 spline axles and carrier after I forge my bottom end. But I'm wondering if swapping out the stock axles for forged steel will be enough for about 425rwhp on DRs.

It maybe alright, but no guarantees!

I think it worth just getting 31 spline axles and carrier. It might set up back a few hundred more dollars, but then your car will be ready for about anything you throw at it.

i'd upgrade to the 31 spline. the 28's don't like big sticky tires.. but street tires you'll be ok.
