I'd say keep it around 400rwhp and you should be fine with a good tune. If the vortec pulley is rated at 10# non innercooled then you will prolly lose a lb or 2 with the addition of an innercooler if you don't swap to a smller pulley.

I've been running 453 RWHP for over a year with my Vortech at 7 lbs boost and an I/A cooler setup. I went with Comp 270 grind cams, so that helped HP. I haven't had a problem - and here in the Nevada desert it goes 115 every summer, still no "Boom". No ticks, rattles, or other charming noises either. FYI my motor has 52,000 mi. on it so far, and I still love to hear it hit 6500 rpm all day long. Call me crazy, but this kinda fun is like life - it can be short. In the meantime I'm making it my mission to saw off as many Subaru's and Evo's as I can, and boy is that satisfying!
