yes my service engine light is on and has been on since i got my car back..i was told it could be an IAC problem that it just needs to be cleaned out.but i dont know

Do you keep the car in gear when you come to stops and keep your foot on the clutch or do you take it out of gear in neutral and leave your foot off?

The reason I ask this is because my tuner tuned it as if I was holding in the clutch all the time at stops. I normally take it into neutral when I stop whereas he always keeps it gear. The RPM's would drop just enough that the car would cut out every once in awhile. He retuned it and I've been ok ever since.

Ifyou don't go into neutral like I do.....then I'd tell them to check the tune first and then check out the IAC. It's most likely one of those two.

yea i keep it in neutral and take my foot off the clutch and then when i come to a dead stop itll shut off..sometimes it wont though and itll be fine

I think you might have the same problem that I had then. Ask the shop to adjust the tune based on that fact. Let them know that you put it in neutral at stoplights and take your foot off the clutch. They can bump the RPM's up a little bit and it might help.

I had the same problem....it was intermittent and didn't do it all the time....just sometimes.

This samething happend to me when i had my 01 gt, but it was when i installed my CAI i didnt put the screen back in. I put it back in and it worked fine.

most likely the tune but i would also clean out the iac just remove it and clean out with carb cleaner. will only take you about 10 mins. worth the try imo

yeah dont mean to add to the band wagon but yeah sounds like they need to re-tune it. also it sounds stupid but check all your wire connections especially tps and iac, and like corrnbread said give the iac a good cleaning and check the iac port on the plenum and clean that too if its dirty. really just start double and triple checkin everything till its narrowed down. but yeahprobly needs a tune. and the original tuner needs a swift kick in the ***. (might ask for a free/discounted 2nd tune)
