so im just getting fed up with the damn ticking problem everyone has, my mechanic said its the head...its louder underneath the car, and to tell you the truth it sounds like its coming from the bell housing! maybe its a bearing in there or the clutch.....i took a video but you really cant hear it just my exhaust lol ill post it tho

UH OH. How many miles?? How well do you monitor your oil? Do you use 5-20 oil? Could be an exhaust tick, rod bearing, throwout bearing. When does it tick? Be more specific

55k miles it was doing it when i got it at 47k oil every 3k miles 5-20 synthetic, its not a spun bearing...i replaced mainfold gasket still ticking..maybe pilot or throw out bearing, i thot they had a high pitched sound like a tick

my mechanic said it def isnt a bad bearing, and if it was it wouldnt have held up so long i dont think....he said it said completely different than bearing a i heard vids with bad bearings and its not like it at all

this could sound stupid, but maybe it's your exhaust that could be loose?

I would check that, it only takes a few minutes and it could save you a lot of money/hassle if it is the source of your noise.

i have a tick under my hood too. it pisses me off beyond belief. im so fed up with it i dont even want my car anymore..

well, its either exhaust, valvetrain, rod bearing, or throwout bearing. Why can't your mechanic find the prob?? I think you need to bring the car to me.

Sounds like and exhaust leak between the manifold, and the midpipe. I have had some issues that sounds exactly like what you're describing.

its not exhaust leak, ive done exhaust soo many times and i can tell when its leaking i used RTV sealer and everything i dont feel any leaks or anything....where you at anyway batmobile maybe i will bring it to you lol i live by great adventure.....i cant figure this damn thing out......in addition to this, every bump i go over something under the car is loose and hitting something its got me so damn confused i checked for hours and the xhaust is away from everything and is tight as hell, sometimes when i start it up i can hear the same sound i guess with the engine moving at the low rpms.....i cant take it anymore...its just like a thump/knock from under the car like if a tailpipe was swinging aorund but its not the exhaust im 100% sure
