Default Replace the Throwout bearing or the whole clutch?

I have decided enough is enough and I'm going to replace the throwout bearing. Should I get a new clutch too. Right now its got a 20k mile old King Cobra. I was looking to get a Spec Stage 1 kit, which comes with all new bearings or a centerforce something. Any advice would be great.

Pull it apart if, check out the surface and see if its glazed or worn, then check your flywheel for burnt marks or deep grooves and see and check it for runout. if all is good put it back in.

IMO, while your there you might as well just replace it. Wouldnt be any fun to have to take it all apart again in 3 months.[:@]

Problem is it is my daily driver. I could buy a new clutch but if I come to find I don't need it what should I do with it. Also , I am ordering a Timkin TOB tomorrow, where can I get a pilot bearing sold alone?

should I spend that much on a DD. I don't really race the car that often but I do like to drive fast and the occasional auto x. I liked the KC but spec has got a package deal with all of the bearings. I don't know. I just want the sound of a rattling tin can to go away.

I'd go with Centerforce. But if it has only 20k, as others said I'd check and if it doesn't need to be replaced, don't waste your money.

Buy a heavy duty TOB. I thought it was Ford that made it...but I don't remember. Also have the Pilot bearing replaced as also mentioned.

I had the same issue and added a new clutch (cause mine had 66k) and an aluminum flywheel. You should look into adding one of those! I picked mine up for under $350 shipped from Lethal performance.

Alright my Timkin TOB is on its way, so thats all set. I will pick up a pilot bearing at Advance or something. I also decided to stick get another KC because I like them. The question is, do I order a new one? Is there a way I can order one and then get my money back if I find I don't need it?

Only way to know is to ask wherever you buy it from. Usually they charge a re-stocking fee or something.
