I like the idea of actually buying the car itself and not just the motor! It will be much easier than buying a motor and messing around with pulling and installing motors... unless you were going to try to go all out with ultra high HP!

well when I get it Im hoping to get some LTs for it and Im going to intall a newish clutch from my GT in it. Probably try a rebuild too. I was stupid and young (2 years ago) and now my GTs motor is probably worth ****. I plan on keeping the engine in nice condition and rebuilding it twice a year. but thats just dreams XD

If you want just a cobra motor then get a lincoln mark VIII motor. There rated at 280hp but the loss between this and the cobra motor was the single exhaust. My dad put a supercharger on his 2v and blew it up. He called the junkyard and got a mark VIII motor for $450 with 35000 miles and for the swap all he had to change was the flywheel. The intake is different too so there might be a loss there from the cobra motor. The car has the motor, full exhaust, procharger @ 8 psi and it made 455 rwhp on the dyno
