Default H-pipes stock????

Ok, I need an answer. Are H-pipes a stock item on 02 GT's? I have been kicking around the idea of a new exhaust system & for kicks decided to see what I currently have. While the system is obviously not Stainless, I do have an H-pipe after dual cats. Is this normal or do I have an aftermarket exhaust installed? By the way, I just bought the car & an new to the 4.6. Thanks for you help.

4 cats?! I only saw two.... up where the pipes come down below the casr from the exhaust manifolds. Do I need 4 (if i have them)? Do high-flow cats work? I know they must perform better form a HP standpoint but what about emissions, do they perform there as well? I am in an area where emissions are regulated & checked every two years so it is a subject of interest as I would rather install what I need & for get about it.

welp, if you really only have 2 cats then it is not a stock pipe. you do not need 4, high flow cats are better then the stockers, but any cat will hurt performance compared to an off road pipe. i would not be to worried about emissions as you have cats, but the only way to know for sure if you will pass is right after the test.

if you really want to replace it there are tons of threads here about mid pipes.

Comes stock w/4 cats and h pipe just like everyone said. If you live in a city where the emissions are strict, get an aftermarket high-flow catted x or h. I've heard stories hear in Memphis that if they are going completely by the book, the will slide a mirror under the car to make sure you have the correct amount of cats. Don't know how truthful it is though.
