I think my clutch went
Soo on my way home from work, im cruising along, just driving normal. I didn't get on it once. Well I've been figuring that my clutch has been going for some time now, just seemed to slip a little here and there but I think it died tonight....
I was making a right hand turn at around 20 mph, nothing drastic and then when I got my car straight, I had to slam on the brakes to avoid hitting a stupid *** rabbit that ran out infront of me (they like to run around at night out here when nobody is on the road). I stop just in time to avoid killing the bunny. With the clutch engaged, I release it to push down on the gas and start going up my hill. Once I shifted into second gear, I started feeling some vibration from the clutch pedal. Once it was in third gear, there was even more vibration coming from the pedal and I thought it was just me until I pulled into my drive way a few seconds later. As I begin my right hand turn into my drive way, I hear a loud noise and all of a sudden, there is some high pitced screaming nosie coming from my engine. It sounded like a frantic belt slip, but it was not after inspection. Completing my turn and pulling up my driveway, the noise roise exponentially when I put my foot on the gas. The noise mind you became extremely loud. Getting out of my car, it smelled like that certain smell when someone burns a clutch (like burnt hair or grease or something). I don't know how to describe it but thats what it smelled like. I started up the car again to see if it was still there after a couple of minutes and it was just as loud. P.S. There is nothing leaking from my car, I checked under my engine just in case to see if something was leaking and nothing was.
I was wondering what other people thought this might be. I was planning on going on a cruise this Saturday but I doubt that I will be able to now that my car is undriveable. If it is infact my clutch, which one should I get to replace it, and if it isn't my clutch....WTF is it??
Thank you so much for lending me 5-10 minutes of your lives.

RE: I think my clutch went
Well since the thread was revived. Yep clutch was toast. But my spec stage 2 is real nice. I like it although I wouldn't go more than that for daily driving. Currently have around 480 miles on it.

Wow... im actually surprised it made noise! Never heard a clutch make noise like that before! Mine have always just gone! Sometimes some slipping before hand... but never a whinning noise! Unfortunatley mine went out during a VERY bad time... i didnt have the time to find a decent clutch... had to get an auto zone clutch! Duralast FTW!! [:'(]
