i still cant seem to figure out why everyone buys ported heads with a supercharged car. imo it would be easier to buy an intercooled kit with a larger head unit and just up the boost. at 14.7 psi theoretically you should be able to double your horsepower from stock (i know this is bench racing). just seems like a lot of money compared to just upping the boost.

never believe dyno # from mm&ff
+1, run the numbers (calculate HP from torque or vice-versa)from their dyno tables yourself (notiice you never see a graph) and you'll see that they are generally full of it; I even saw one table where HP and torque were wildly different at 5200 rpm.Thet are also one of those magazines that has never reviewed a bad product (particularly one provided by an advertiser)--just lucky I guess...

Not rying to stir anything up here, but you have to look at it realistically. Why would a company trying to sell magazines feature products that showed little to no improvements? Do you really think they're gonna feature and do a 15 page "how to" install on a ****ty product? No way, it makes no sense.

Edit: Thats like serving bad food at your restaurant just to make sure people know what food to stay away from.

Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords have a write up on the Fox Lake
2v ported heads. They claim 120hp gain with the heads, cams, and CAI.
I'd say that is pretty damn good.

heads, cams, and CAI = DIVINE INTERVENTION

Like stated before, it was heads, cams, and intake manifold on a boosted 2v.

I think that's because theygraph their torque on a different scale than the horsepower. Then the hp and torque curves would seemto intersect at some other rpm, but really they are still equal at 5252 rpm.If a magazine abouthorsepower doesnt know how to calculate horsepower from torque then they are just a dumbass magazine hahaha!

I agree the mags aren't doin no one favors by skeet-skeetinover whatever product they review. Consumer Reports what?
