coil on plug?
The 96-98 cobras used a coil pack. what do the later models use and is there a way to make a 97 cobra use the same method? i think the 99 cobra uses the same engine just with coil-on-plug. same way with the gt i think. so how could i do the conversion.

RE: coil on plug?
People have done them before, you need some engine electrical knowledge but it can easyily be done. Is it worth it... probably not. If you are just a freak and what the cleanest looking engine bay...it's still not worth it. It is said that the cop's are a lot better with resistance for the spark and helps with the efficiency of the spark. It's not that big of a difference to be worth the swap IMO.
Heres a link that will help you out if you really want to do this.

RE: coil on plug?
COPs give the most dwell time which intern produces the most voltage per spark of all ignition designs. thats why people with hi horsepower ls1s and 4.6s usually keep the stock COPs. but, the waste spark ignition is also a fairly effective design so for a performance standpoint there isnt much lost in the waste spark style. not worth the change imo.
