no you want longtubes because they give you good gains. it's one of the good "boltons" that you can actually feel a difference with in a 4.6

LT's are not worth the money, install, hassle! I got 8 rwhp when I was NPI with shortys. LTs won't give you much more.LT's are a pain in the a$$! The install sucks, ground clearance issues suck, they cost a lot more, you need O2 extensions and a new mid pipe, and when doing clutches, rear mains, and/or throw out bearings you're going to have to at least remove the passenger side header. There's a lot more $hit to deal with LTs and it's not worth the few ponies more they give. Shortys FTW!

oh they're worth it. yeah the install & such does suck, but once it is done it gives much more power than shorties ever will

Kinda. When I still had the cats on my X pipe, they sat lower than the headers did. Id say that lt's with a 2" drop would be pretty low though. Just have to be careful and watch what youre doing.

That was on my car before I lowered it. Once I lowered the car, it scraped a lot. I had to be real careful.
