Default I FIGURED OUT MY TOB SQUEELING!!!

OKAY, so I was changing my oil today b/c tomorrow I am putting in my 2 weeks and itll be the last free oil change. I took off the cover for the cable and had my buddy upstairs press and play with the clutch. You could see the retainer damn near bald. When the clutch was engaged, the fork and TOB and pressure plate was still. When disengaged, the TOB, clutch fork and pressure would vibrate like crazy. I could easily hold it still with my hand and you could see the TOB wobbling all over the place, that was the problem. I figured the installer would of checked that and reccoemmended it, thats what I get for figuring....

The guy was supposed to tell me everything I need, but he didnt, and Dan04CObra, you were right, damned TOB retianer.

Cool... Hopefully you didn't do any damage to it before you found it out.

Im sure it probably did, they are only like 30-50 bux, so Ill replace the TOB as well. Here is what else I discoverd. The damned outer sleeve on the clutch cable split in half the entire length of the cable. Also the firewall adjuster flexes like crazy when the clutch is engaged

Are you sure that outer sleeve isn't supposed to be split like that just like a the wire loom protectors that look like that?
That sleeve looks like one of those wire protectors and they are supposed to be split so you can get them on and off easy.

HA, I wish, you have to pull the trans to replace the TOB retainer, TOB because they both ride the input shaft of the trans. A new cable and firewall adjuster and quadrant are easy to install and relatively cheap, as well are a new TOB and retainer, just the labor is not
