Default Intake Spacer installed...but I have an EGR Valve problem...01GT help!!

I installed my intake spacer today. I unscrewed all the bolts on the throttle body, unscrewed the EGR valve, slipped the intake spacer and gasket under the throttle body and bolted everything back up. But when I went to put my EGR valve back in, it wont line up. Since the spacer moved my throttle body up, the pipe doesnt feed in right, and I can't bend it to line up. The screw that holds it in there wont go in. Me and my friend pryed at it for like 10 mins and it wont go. I fired my car up to see if my check engine light came on, but it didn't, the tube is still in the hole so I guess its not throwing off any codes. I just want to know how to fix this. I played with the throttle and put my hand over the EGR inlet, and only a little exaust is coming out. But I dont want exhaust leaking into my engine compartment. Can anyone help me out? 01GT I know you installed an intake spacer on your car, did you have this problem?

Im just going to take it apart again, put the EGR valve back in, then try to put the spacer on with the egr valve in. I guess we just did it wrong. I'll figure it out.

When I replaced my tb/plenumn I had to unbolt the part where the pipe goes in, put the pipe in and bolt it down then use a philips head screwdriver to line up the bolts on the intake and bolted it back in place. I had the same problem with trying to get the pipe back in place without takeing the other half off. It took me like a hour of F***ing with it before I figured out what to do to make it work. Hope this helps.

You don't have to take it all apart, Just pull off the part that attaches to the plenumn and attach it to the metal pipe, then use the philips screwdriver to line up the bolt holes on the plenumn and egr valve, it will take you no time and save you from takeing everything apart!! Use the screwdriver in the left hand bolt holes (towards the front of the car) and put the other bolt in first that way when you go to insert the other one you will not have to pry it up any to get it to line up.

I'm looking at an intake spacer myself that I could pick up pretty cheap, and I was just wondering... will the intake spacer work fine if I get a 70 or 75mm TB in the future. I just wanted to double check before I bought something.

Yeah it will work just fine, I put my spacer on when I had me stock intake and tb, And about a month ago I installed the 75mm tb and plenumn with the spacer with no problems.

He is right you don't have to take it all apart. It still is a tight fit but it will work.
