I am not really sure how the whole gear thing works. Like the sizes and the difference. Could somebody tell me what the sizes mean and what happens to top end and acceleration as yoiu change them. In detail please

Ok then so you would say to use the 4:10's in a 99 gt. I plan on supercharging with a few other things during the winter months

If you dont do alot of highway driving then go with 4.10's, if your gonna supercharge your car put in 3.73's unless your gonna be cruisin around on drag radials..with all that power plus 4.10 you'll never get traction with street tires

i read the article and it said i will be able to pass my old max speed? Stock my car seems to top out somewhere 130-140mph are they saying i will top out lower or higher than that. I assumed at first i would lose top end but i read the article and wasn't sure which one was said.

It depends on which set of gears you go with, either one would increase your top speed in 5th gear. The 4th to 5th shift on your Mustang with stock gears would probably cause youto lose speed right now because you would be below your powerband after you shift. Gearing that would get you into your powerband in 5th gear would allow you to continue to accelerate once you make the shift.</P>
