Just go to it. It will probably take a while to do it properly and in most cases you may actally have to lengthen the wires. Just be careful to keep them clear of components that get hot (or use heat shelds).

It is on the list of mods to do to my car. My problem is that I am so **** about the wires being the same color as they were orignally, I would probably spend a fortune on wire.

Yeah Ive already got tons of the heat protection cloth. (like around starters) I'm going to be going nuts on this this weekend.
