Default Cobra Brake Conversion

Hello All,
If you have seen my other postings you probably know that I doing a major overhaul to the suspension and brakes on my car. So here is my question: I purchased a Cobra brake kit with 13"rotors and was wondering if the calipers will directly bolt on to the stock spindles or am I missing a bracket (like the bracket for upgrading to 13"s for the rear.)?

I've already did a forum search and can't find anything.

It all bolts up fine. I'm doing my conversion this weekend too. What I'm struggling with are the new stainless lines leaking at the hard line connect...

I remember reading something about that somwhere.
I think the lines are different for each side and they must go on the correct side or it won't fit properly.
Something like that.
Try searching.

Yeah, I have them on the right sides. Got someone coming around to take a look at it today. I used some threadseal to stop the leaking and apparently that's a big no-no.

you might be missing a caliper mounting bracket that is required with the big brake upgrade, in order to mount the calipers in it's intended position.

your missing the brackets. when i did mine i bought it al from a guy that upgraded his 03 cobra to a brembo big brake so i got everything. there is a bracket that moves the cobra caliper a little further up/away so it sits in the right place on the rotor. it looks like a kidney shaped piece about 4"x2" it bolts where your stock calipers go and the cobra calipers bolt to it.

good luck

Mine bolted right up with the stock hardware. Thigs are different for different years though. I know with my 03, I was able to use the stock banjo bolts and lines (they were out of the stainless lines, but I needed new brakes, so they went down on the price). This, however, would not have worked with an earlier model car.
Call the place you got them from and speak with their tech support. Or call up another place, like buyfordracing, and ask them.
