Any one with info on SLP Loudmouth Catbacks?
I was lookinginto Slp Loudmouth catbacks and an off road h pipe for my 97 cobra that is still stock. I juat turned 16 and i figured the 1st thing i would do was exhaust? Any comments about this particular steup? I heard it was really loud? I am debating on keeping my stock midpipe or buying and off road h pipe ? Any help would be much appreciated?

i have an off road X and the SLP Loudmouth 1's and it is LOUD but I can keep it quiet. I have had them on for 6 months and believe it or not i got use to it and it doesn't seem loud to me anymore. i have yet to get a ticket for it being to loud. although when it was stock a statey pulled me over for it being to loud i think you'll like it and will sound nive with the 4 valve

I've never heard SLP in person, so take what I say however you want.
IMO the loudmouths, like any other exhaust, can be quiet when you push the clutch in. If you see a cop, just push the clutch in and I don't think there will be enough noise to warrant a ticket. But if your screwin around and revvin that thing up, there is a chance you can get a noise violation ticket.
If you are really freaked out about getting a ticket for the setup (you feel that maybe you wont see the cop and will be going WOT) I suggest going with a bit quieter catback, magnaflow has a nice catback and sounds great. I am partial to the stingers, but they are a bit quieter than the LM's, and still probably too loud if you aren't careful.
In the end, if you are careful, you shouldn't have a problem with cops. My two cents.

It will be loud as hell. Thats all I can say. You will probally attract the police's attention. Plus your 16. Hmmmm. You might wanna think twice.

this is true.
But I truly believe that if your careful and don't f around revvin it up every chance you get, you'll be fine. I'm 18, and I picked a pretty damn loud setup, but I know that I'm not going to be an idiot and drive crazy, or attract attention to myself. If you are convinced that you are a safe driver, and wont go WOT every chance you get, get whatever floats your boat.
