true, but when you're going down the track and shifting, the "rotational mass of the steel flywheel" is going to make it harder for the rpm's to build up quicker than they would with the LESS "rotational mass of the the ALUMINUM flywheel." idk. this post is becoming pointless. haha.

that is the exact reason why Id do the steel flywheel. I know the car revs faster but I will be racing the car at the strip and want to keep a heavier flywheel as well as the original driveshaft for the rotational mass...but thanks again for the help...

the driveshaft isnt rotatingbefore you launchso it would be ok to go with an aluminum piece if you ever wanted to. and also if you suffer during launch and pick it up the rest of the way down the track, why spend the extra couple of hundred bux if your getting the same effect if you know what i mean?
