Default 3.73 gears

Hi, i'm looking at 3.73 gears for my 99gt and i was reading up on American Muscle and they mentioned getting the master bearing kit. I saw an installation kit and the MB Kit. I try not to be very cheap with my car, however I was curious is the kit really necessary? I mean it is another 75 dollars... But hey that is still a good bit of money for me being 19 in cooledge Heh.

As well as UDP's are just UPD's right? One brand isnt any better than another .. there just pully's? Someone Feed me some of your expertise plz

If you've got a lot of miles on your car I'd recommend changing all the bearings. If not, just get the pinion bearings and the carrier bearings. IMO, all UDP's are the same. I don't see how one brand can do a better job than the other.

The difference in the udp's is namely the crankshaft pulley and the materials used. An example of this is Steeda's UDP's. They dont use a piggy back style crank pulley they replace the pulley and the damper. As far as the gears, go to a shop and have them buy the parts needed instead of guessing what to buy then taking your car there and then having wasted the money. Assuming that you arent installing them yourself.
