Help with keyless entry

I need a new keyless entry. Either that or need to figure out how to reprogram an existing one. (Found one from my 97 that I sold, is it possible to reprogram it to to work with my 03)?

RE: Help with keyless entry

Turn key to igniton then one click back repeat 15 times, the 15th time the key should be on igniton again, all locks should lock and unlock, press a button on the new remote, the door should lock and unlock, turn off igniton remove key and your remote is now programmed.

When you say turn key to ignition, do you actually start the car 15 times?

Just tried it and it didn't work. I tried turning the key to the point just before you have to push the clutch in to actually start the car and then back one turn. That didn't work. Then I tried turning it just to the point before you start the car and then all the way back to accesory, where you have to push the little lever to get it to go that far back. Didn't work either. The car never locked and unlocked the locks by itself.

When I bought my car it didn't come with any remotes. I just bought a couple off of eBay for $25 shipped and they work fine.

I don't think the 97 remote will work. You have to program those differently.

Also, instead of turning the ignition on/off 15 times, try 8 times and leave the keyswitch in the accessory on position the last time. The locks will automatically cycle, then push the lock button on all the remotes you wish to program and the locks will cycle each time you push the button. Then turn the keyswitch back to its "home" position and wait like 30 seconds. The locks should cycle one more time if done correctly. You don't need to turn the keyswitch all the way back to the accesory position, just to the home position each time.
