i heard you can get a 428 cobra jet crate motor from ford. see if you can jam that in the engine bay. i can almost guarantee nobody else has that. and if you're going light you could get the aluminum 4.6 block from a mercury marauder.

Same block, differnet stroke and pistons.

Sounds like you need to plan better, You'll be surpised how expensive it can be to build the motor you are talking about. You will have to get it honed and decked, journals honed. Heads will have to be decked and redone. There is quite a bit of time and money involved there. All the little knick nacks add up..... A turbo kit will cost you 6k alone. Junk GT motor will run you about 1k if not more. Probably looking at 2k worth of machineing. If you do the assembly yourself you will save some money, but fittment is critical. Ring gaps depending on the motor you are going to build, piston type, rod type, crank, compression ratio......

You need to write down exactly what you want and start getting prices.....You can easily sink 10k in the blink of an eye and not be done.

Just the long block I am thinking of starting with is 4k, 2.5k if I take the short and use my existing heads.

Gt, you can always find a garage to rent...that is how I used to hide all my **** form my P's. I have a garage now and that is where the surgery on my car is performed.

you could get a bike and try to hide it from your parents. just don't be surprised when, not if, they find out because they will.
