no its the battery or the terminals...it was doing that to mine about 2 days ago and i opened the hood and there was a crapload of stuff on the negative terminal so i put baking soda and lemon and rinsed all the crap off with water and put the terminal back on and problem solved
Mine did that as well. I replaced my battery + it fixed the sweeping. I believe the reason for the sweep is because of insufficient voltage to mantain the memory so it sweeps just like you had disconnected the battery and then reconnected it.
