Default How do i take out the transmission?

I am SO PISSED i have a haynes book and i am replacing my clutch. well i did what it said and the tranny wont move at all. Some one with a little bit of knowledge on this subject please help my ***.

Take all the bolts out, take the driveshaft and cross member out, jack up on the front of the motor from the crank pulley to angle the tranny down in the back. It has dial pins in it so if it won't break loose use a crow bar or rubber hammer and bust it loose.

Yeah, it can be a pain in the *** to separate. I had my whole engine/trans out of the car and it was still a bitch to get apart. Those pins really hold it in there. You gotta work it.

how many bolts are there to the engine from the transmissionalso what a bout the starter i took the two bolts out but still it wont move. once again HAYNESbooks SUCK they dont tell **** plus i am workin on this bitch my self and i need it done because i ship out in a couple days to bootcamp

There are 3 bolts on the starter, not 2, the top one is a PITA to get to and remove. If you're sure you have ALL of the bellhousing bolts out then thats the problem.

You have to have the right combo of extensions and maybe an impact swivel. The starter has to come out asap.
