I don't know about 500 being too much for a tune without the handheld included..
You're right. For some strange reason when I wrote that reply I was thinking "for a N/A guy, a tune is really easy, so yeah, 500 with a tuner would be OK".

oops.

I would probably ask them though, how many hours of tuning on the dyno that includes.

Fuel=Corba tank with twin fuel pumps, 42lb injectors.
Tune=Dyno tune is a must.
Maf=PRO-M
Intercooler or aftercooler

JE 194329 Forged Pistons are dished correct, so your comparsion ratio I am guessing is around 9 to 1. You should havea sweet setup when is all said and down. You should see somewhere in the 475rwhp range.
475rwhp with stock cams? not likely. PI cams tend to fall on their face n/a @ 5700 and it definately shows even with the blower. We need those big lift cams to take advantage of any power in these cars, even with headwork at some point the amount of boost being pushed it will become inefficient proportionally to power output.
I understand your point.Even around12psi you canonly push the volume of air that the cams/heads can fit.475range was in educated guess. I dontthink is that unlikely with a good tune. Van said V2, but I think a T-trim with a 2.75 pulley and 8 rib setup would be a better option. That would put you around 15psi and in the 500 range even stock cams.In addition, I suggest upgrading your fuel rails, and you might as well put some blower cams in to finish it off nice. You are going to end up with a bad *** ride. Really you dont know what psi you car will runon certain pulleys because youhavent superchargered it yet and its motified. I would start with a 3.11 and then see what you run then go to the 2.75 when you ready.

My local place charges 500 bucks for a tune too, and I think 150 per retune. That initial 500 is including the cost of the actual software and tuner too I'm sure.

yeah the price for a dynotune only is $500. For the dyno tune and the SCT xcalibrator it is $800 that is what they told me. So I guess you save $100 on the tune if you buy the xcalibrator from them.
