Heres my opinion, and I have installed stage 1 cams in my car. From what I found, I lost a butt ton of low end, and 2s would be worse. Your gonna need a new rear gear either way. As for the install, your gonna be doing alot of work anyway, so the additional work of installing springs for 2s wont be much worse. You're gonna need a dyno tune for 2s to get it to run right. I ran my 1s untuned just to see what it was like, but I could tell a tune was needed. When it comes to sound, I dont notice a huge difference. If you have exhaust and cams, your gonna sound mean as hell either way.

When it comes down to it, I wouldnt say 1s are a waste, I am happy with mine and dont regret not getting 2s. Just realize with 2s, its gonna be a little more work and some supporting mods. Seriously youre gonna feel like a douche if you have 2s and the stock rear.

But remember, from stage 1 to 2 your not gonna gain enough hp to make it worth it. It shouldnt be more than 10hp or so. Plus your powerband keeps getting shifted to a higher RPM range. Its really debatable on a averaged modded mustang. All in what you are willing to do.
