+1 to all of that, when I talked about it bending or curving slightly I just didnt want him to be surprised b/c mine did a little bit. Also when you put in the new spring you can use the bar to seat it, there is a groove in the lower seat that you want to fit it in. once its in use the jack to bring it up SLOWLY...then you can put the bolts back through the shock and let the jack down. Best of luck.

You gotta compress the springs then take out the two bolts that hold the lower control up to get the old ones out up front. the ones in the back are cake.

You do not have to compress the springs to get them out.

Really? i guess you can cut them to take the tension off of them. But you'll ever get the control arm bolts out if there is spring pressure on them.

thats really not the safest way of doing that. those springs can snap out and really hurt someone. just rent a spring compressor from autozone it's 40 bucks and you get your money back when you return the tool.

If you put your face right down next to the spring you are asking for it...you use the jack to lower it from the side...there is no danger to you whatsoever...why waste money if you don't need to. To each his own, I just know that it was quite simple and I naver felt in any danger. But if you feel the need for extra insurance then the compressor is fine, just unnecessary. I do not mean to be bashing you in any way, just speaking from personal experience.

I've done mines by myself in 4 hours and did all the work myself. Its a simple install . Pain is puting the new springs back in lol but prying the old ones out was cake.
