Where I live in OH we have a visual test for cats and on my 87' GT I didn't have them... I passed three or four times now... just got lucky and they forgot to look... just take them off and lower your car until they can't get a mirror under there anymore... then make sure you have a cat sticker under your hood and if they see that then they normally pass you... (In OH anyway thats how it works)

Depends where in PA you live... i have emissions.

I work for a pontiac dealership as my summer job.... i fill out most of the inspection/emission sheets for the mechanics doing inspections if i am not busy... there is a little more to it than that. Not all counties have it though the neighboring county only has inspection, no emissions. If you have emissions testing the car will not pass on the new tests if the check engine light is on.

didn't know that. i only moved here 3 years ago from michigan and when they told me i had to get an inspection i was like "i have to get a what?" and"it costs how much? are you serious? and i have to do it every year? and registration costs how much? where does this money go? certainly not into the roads i'll tell ya that much."
