Around how much does it cost to port and polish a set of heads...i had a guy tell me he would do it for 200....then someone else told me to take it to this shop and they would do it for 65...i think he is full of crap but i may be wrong

well i got a quote from a couple worthy shops in the md area and got anywhere from 800-1200 bucks...if someone would really do it for 200 or 65 then i would hop all over that....but only if you trust them

well the guy that said he would do it for 200 is a friend of my and he used to do it for a living...he said he would gasket match the intake and exhaust ports and do something to combustion camber or something?? don't really know to much about it...but i think the other guy that told me bout this shop that will do it for 65 is full of sh*t...

Does this include head removal or just taking the heads there already removed?

Professionally done by a shop would run you over 700. If you friend screws up your heads, will he buy you new ones? I'll be the first to admit that 200 is cheap.......almost to cheap.

i don't know if he will or not....but i trust him...he has been doing it for a long while....

mmr does it for $450 for stage 1, $550 for stage 2 and $650 for stage 3. they quote that as 20, 30 and 40 hp respectively.
