Default valve problem...

ok so i have a bad valve on my #1 cylinder. i really dont know whats wrong with it....so this weekend i'm gonna pull the valve cover and see if i can identify the problem. its really confusing to me, it only fvcks up under WOT, and when it does it feels like its missin. it also looses compression, i think it dropped to like 50psi the first time. but then...u rev it up for a few minutes and its fine...compression restores and everything. WTF? ok so i'm probly gonna have to pull my head eventually. i know u guys have some good websites that can show me how, ive seen the links in posts before but can't find those posts again. ide really apreciate a link. thanks in advance.

I pulled my head with a haynes manual, and some patience

Not that hard.

Just group ALL the things you take off, and even label them.

I put them together, but did not label that well. Might take a while to get the timing chain cover back together with everything attached right. lol

dont know which is better...

it was ncie to have someone who's done it before help me along part of the way, but even w/o help, im pretty sure there is nothing that someone with some common sense, and PATIENCE can't accomplish on their own

i did a compression check, if u dont havea comp gageur mechanic will. and it only happens at WOT(sometimes), but im not positive it was misfiring but it sure did feel like it.

yeah i keep hearing bent valve when i talk to people about it...but how the bloody h3ll do u bend a valve? i have never heard of som1 bending a valve on an n/a stock motor street beater...not questioning ur knowledge or anything it just strikes me as kinda odd. my pops suggested that it might be a valve sticking, but nether one of us r too familar w/ ohc motors soooo....not even sure thats a possibility.
